PLEASE NOTE:
There is currently an issue downloading our files with Internet Explorer 8. When right-clicking the 'Save target as...' link does not appear. We are working to fix this problem as soon as possible but in the meantime there is something you can do to make 'Save target as ...' appear.

To the right of the address bar is a button for 'Compatibility mode'. If you select this, then go back to the download link and right-click, you should now see 'Save target as ...' and you will be able to download the file.

I have a question about English, can you answer it?
Unfortunately we cannot usually reply to individual questions about English.

However there are ways to find answers on our site:

You can use the search box on every page to look for any subject on our site.

How do I learn English?
The site is intended to help you improve your learning of the English language. Throughout the site you will find short courses, quizzes, grammar, vocabulary, audio and video that will help you to improve your English. Unfortunately we can't reply with individual advice on Learning English.

How do I listen to audio on your site?

Our audio is available in different formats, streaming and downloadable.

For audio on the site after February 2009 you will need the free Abode Flash Player. You can find it here:

Audio on the site before February 2009
Streaming audio can only be listened to online. To listen you need the free Real Player software. Some streaming audio can also be listened to using the free Windows Media Player software.

Downloadable audio programmes are in mp3 format. They can be played using many media players such as Windows Media Player and Apple Quick Time Player.



I can't download some of your audio
Only mp3 audio files can be downloaded. These are clearly marked. There is a lot of audio on the site which is only available to listen to online in streaming format. For legal reasons we are not able to make this audio downloadable.

How do I watch video on your site?
Our video content is available in different formats. Some of the older material is only available in streaming format. It can only be watched when you are online. To watch this video you need the free Real Player software. You can learn how to download and install this software here:
